Yong Zhang is a partner at Merits & Tree. Prior to joining Merits & Tree, he had also worked at W&H Law Firm and Grandway Law Offices.

Mr. Zhang, since beginning his practice in 2005, has accumulated extensive experience in the fields of bankruptcy reorganization (pre-reorganization) of listed companies, bankruptcy liquidation, bankruptcy investment, disposal of non-performing loans, real estate and infrastructure, as well as dispute resolution.

  • Representing multiple asset management companies, such as China Great Wall Asset Mangament and Huaan Future Asset, in providing legal services for NPLs disposal and debt restructuring projects
  • Representing several listed companies such as Zomax and WPG in providing legal services for investment projects of bankruptcy reorganization, and acting on behalf of creditors to file the claim in bankruptcy
  • Representing state-owned enterprises such as Suntiandy Group and Baoye Group in providing legal services for enterprise restructuring, distressed equity exits, and investment and financing projects
  • Representing state-owned enterprises in providing legal services for compulsory liquidation/bankruptcy liquidation
  • Representing in a number of construction contract disputes, investment and financing disputes litigation, and arbitration cases
